Born in 1993/1994 Beastie Boyz mainly focused on Hamburg. Until 1997 the magazine appeared in black and white, and came out every 2 months in a print run of 800. Late 1997 it took the next step and added 24 color pages to the magazine and increased the print run. In September 1998 the magazine came in a new format with 40 pages of photos from among others Hamburg, Berlin, USA, Spain and Australia. Throughout the years the title varied between "Boys", "Boy'z" and "Boyz". In addition to the Beastie Boyz, there are also six issues with only "sketches". These issues appeared in a small numbers and sold out very quickly. Issue 16 had four different covers.
