Southern Pacific Forever — Volume 7
(2008)
The 7th book recounts the railroad sights seen during the months of June & July of 2008. This edition also displays the railroad fruits seen on a Northern California road trip along the northern half of Interstate 5.
Though this book doesn't contain an Interchange or an Artist Highlight, it's jam packed with the usual rusted metal boxcars and various rollingstock and an amazing amount of end to end's, some of the best seen rolling on UP lines. The surprises are nearly endless and the 440 pages will keep one entertained for hours, literally. But don't take it from me, take a look at the book preview or go on visit www.myspace.com/southernpacificforever to see picture samples and whatnot from previous volumes as well as this one.

Southern Pacific Forever — Volume 3
(2007)
Volume 3 brings you the hottest months of the year at the bench. Roughly 2000 pictures act as anecdotes of the railroad. Some of those stories tell the history of various short-lines and other fallen flags (literally). While others talk of travels with The Wolf and a two day trip from Northern California to Northern Oregon. Intertwined is the first installment of what is called The Interchange; a collection of railroad photos collected during the same time period (July-August 2007) and contributed by one photographer from a particular region. This volumes interchange region is the United States North East where a PanAm sighting isn't a rare occurence.

Southern Pacific Forever — Volume 4
(2008)
Volume 4 caps off 2007 with four more months of trains, trains, and more trains. Focusing on the rare boxcar of yesteryear and the art painted upon their sides, this photographic journey may just be the best yet. With two wonderful interchange sections from Montana and Southern Alberta Canada, SPF 4 shows how different the railroad looks within different regions.
A magnificent 50+ page spread highlights the work of the WH & KBT artist crews and shows why they have a strong hold on the south eastern United States. Peppered in with the 430+ pages of art, rust, and freight carrier beauty, is a look at how the Golden West Service came to be. Just one of a few looks into the specialty…

Southern Pacific Forever — Volume 5
(2008)
Volume 5 has captured January though March of 2008's rail movement in Northern California and has an Interchange brought to you from the state of Minnesota as well as a bonus Interchange from our good friend Devol in Montana for the second straight volume (welcome to the family, buddy!).
With this volume's Artist Highlight we've been lucky enough to see a small glimpse into the massive arsenal of the Goonies' NIGHT, hailing from somewhere a lot farther than I would have assumed. It's quite an adventure to see the giant panels and types of cars this artist gets. In an attempt to go with the times, every refrigerated car seen by the SPF in these first three mon…

Southern Pacific Forever takes a look in Norfolk Southern's South Eastern United States operations for this volume's Interchange and circles back around to the southern part of California to chronicle the works done by the AUB artist group.

Southern Pacific Forever — Volume 8
(2009)
Volume 8 has been shaping up. The railroad and the economy has been slow but the quality of rail equipment documented has been better than ever. Southern Pacific Forever shows the months of August through December of 2008 along with a few months of benching summarized in the 3rd edition of the Montana Interchange.
A couple firsts for the SPF appear as well. Thanks to a good friend that grew up in Utah, about 50 pages have been dedicated to freights seen in and around Salt Lake City from the years 2000-2003. The gems within will not disappoint! Also, what the SPF likes to call "Artist Confidential" debuts. This black and white section shows rail artists at work. Not meant to…

Southern Pacific Forever — Volume 9
(2010)
It's been awhile since volume 8 hit the market. But 1500+ pictures later, some as big as an entire page, some much smaller, Volume 9 has arrived! This volume contains the usual painted on, rusting, brand new, and strange pieces that make up the rollingstock of the railroad. Inside is 50 pages of railyards from as early as the 1970's. A collection of can't miss pictures that will make you wish Hot Tub Time Machine was a real possibility.

Southern Pacific Forever — Volume 10
(2010)
For the 10th time, Southern Pacific Forever has compiled a publication documenting today's railroad. With an emphasis on rare boxcars and the art that has become commonplace upon it's equipment, SPF displays the last six months of 2010 as seen on Northern California rail lines. In addition to the usual hometown benching, SPF has invited the mostly South Eastern United States Goonies (GNS) Crew as this volumes Artist Highlight. A reefer packed explosion of color and a variance of style, this section captures what the boys have been up to when not storming pirate ships and hunting for buried treasure.
Other highlights include a large section on hard copy scans from the SPF ar…

Southern Pacific Forever — Volume 11
(2011)
Welcome to Southern Pacific Forever's 11th book. Our main effort is to present & preserve the past of the railroad. The highlight to this volume is a 75 page look at the art of the railroad seen during the mid 90's in Sacramento's railyards, most of which have been purged into UP's refurbished Roseville Yard about 20 minutes outside of California's capitol. Thanks in the most part to Wyze of END for contributing his box of more than 10 year old negatives to be used within the section, you will get a good idea of who and what has influenced the western freight scene.
In addition to the usual benching and the afore mentioned sections, this volume's Art…

Also, a look into artist group MF's work on the rails and a special section showing all the Golden West Service cars caught by SPF. As usual, it's a lot to look through, 440 pages of fun. Take a glance at the preview and I hope you enjoy SPF's latest release.

Southern Pacific Forever — Volume 13
(2012)
Volume 13 is a collection of 3,000 photos, taken in late 2011 and early 2012, of everything railroad. Much like the first 12, it documents the ever-changing cargo of the railroad as it hunts for the remaining relics of the once wonderful Southern Pacific Railroad. Within, you'll find rust, fallen flags, ridges, tankers, flats (and all other boxcars, hoppers, gondo's, etc.), mile long lines and the graffiti that adorns it. Anything and everything railroad!
This volume highlights the art of freight artist, Swear GTL - All Nation. His ideas and innovation are impressive and his passion to create is too large to contain. Roughly 40 pages of style and color represent a small not…
